I listen.
I want to understand what matters to you before deciding what belongs on the canvas. A good conversation is often where the most personal idea begins.

Olga Dziemidowicz / European painter, Melbourne
I’m Olga — a painter with a background in architecture and corporate consulting.
Art is my practice. Listening, noticing and connecting with people are part of how I work.

The way I see
Architecture taught me to look closely: at a space, at light, and at the relationship between people and their surroundings.
Painting gives me room to respond more intuitively. I’m drawn to colour, movement and the details that make a place or a person feel particular. My work explores connection, belonging and identity through landscapes, portraits and figurative painting.
That combination — careful observation and an expressive response — is at the heart of my work, in the studio and at events.
The person behind the painting
I want to understand what matters to you before deciding what belongs on the canvas. A good conversation is often where the most personal idea begins.
You don’t need to know the right art words. I enjoy questions, different perspectives and helping people feel comfortable around art.
About the composition and the small details. About how we work together. And about making a painting that feels meaningful to the person it is for.
Creative, thoughtful, approachable
My corporate consulting background is part of what I bring to this work. It has taught me to listen carefully, ask useful questions and communicate with people who see things differently.
I’m comfortable talking through a brief, working with a team and turning an open-ended idea into a clear direction. I also enjoy the spontaneous conversations that happen beside a painting.
You’ll be working directly with me: the person listening to your ideas is the person holding the brush.

Beyond the event
My event paintings sit within a wider studio practice. I make, explore and exhibit work beyond commissions — following ideas about people, places and the feelings they hold.

Time in the studio is where I experiment with colour, composition and mark-making. Exhibiting is a chance to let those paintings meet people and become part of a wider conversation.
